Upon arrival you’ll be given an introductory safety and equipment briefing before getting kitted out in your wetsuit. From there you’re out on the water learning the basics such as levitating, taxiing and control the turn. After that comes the classic flyboarding moves such as the corkscrew and the tornado – should you be ready to try some more advanced techniques.
And as you’ll be flyboarding directly across from the Inn on the Loch, you’ll find some hearty meals to address that hard earned appetite you will have worked up! So whether you fly alone, or bring some family and friends to watch or join in, your flyboarding experience will be an unforgettable day out!

Controlling the Flyboard
With your feet positioned as if you were in a natural standing position, lock your knees gently, straighten your back and let your arms hang down by your sides. You should be in a relaxed yet controlled state.
Once you have levitated clear of the surface you will be able to start making the flyboard go where you want it to. To go forward lean onto your toes, for backwards lean onto your heels.
To change direction turn your head in the direction you wish to go, drop your shoulder down, lean on the leading leg and bend the opposite one.
Is there a minimum age?
You have to be between 16 and 70 years old to participate in flyboarding in Dumfries.
What about weight and height?
We have a maximum weight of 20 stone (127kg) and you should be at least 4’/1.22metres and 6’4″/1.98 metres.
What about health & vision?
You are advised not to take part in this event if you are pregnant of have any of the following: dislocated shoulder/wearing a cast, heart conditions, severe back issues, under medication that will make you drowsy
If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol then your flight will be cancelled.

Will I be able to fly?
The vast majority of people pick flyboarding up far quicker than they imagine they would! If you’re having problem, your expert instructor is on hand to make sure you get the most from your experience.
